MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

The moon light, the dark sky, and the bit starts twinkling, announced that was the last day of the year, 31stof December 2004. The sounds and smells mixed with the laughing, kisses and hugs , all of them expected anxious the end of this year, but me , I felt strange homesick, maybe I looked back and thought, I left the school, my best friends, the teachers , now is a new challenge. I have to grow up, and thought in my near future, the university; immediately my mind turn cloudy, I have a lot of things in my mind, while the rest of my family enjoyed the party ,I waited to sit down alone, for a long time. Unexpected, a family arrived to the party these were the uncles, aunts and cousins of my cousins then, when one of my uncles introduced me with him, at this moment, I felt an amazing connection with he, he looked at me firmly and took my hand, and I felt a strange sensation in my body, like a shiver from my feet to my head, he said !nice to meet you! With a brilliant smile on his face, and I answered me too shyness, after that he continued to talked with the rest of the family, and I waited astonish on the chair, then he came back with my aunt and she introduced me with him again, and he smiles, then his cousin called him just a second and immediately he came back with my grandma and she introduced me with him again and I cannot believed it, it happened again, was really an embarrassed situation with this guy.

The days were passing and every time the attraction that we were feeling was harder, every day something special occurred when we were together , a flower, a chocolate, everything he gave me was a beautiful gift, the days stopped being gray, they were changed into the colors of the rainbow, filling my life of happiness. I never thought that it would happen, hoping that they were not ended, the vacations passed and the university life was waiting for us, we swear to continue speaking, and not to forget the other.
The months were passing and with them the feelings, that were joining us, his calls and visits were stopping, we pass of being known, to being just others strangers who crossed their lives, we didn’t speak again, we followed our dreams, dreams that we shaped were to be together, but were replaced by others, Which did not have space for this that at some time was the only one, my first love.

Memoirs Of A Geisha

This is a film that shows the life of a young girl growing up in Japan and the things that she has to endure during her life time. It shows what her parents will do to make their lives better and to make them more secure in this.
The girl Chiyo who is the main character starts off as a little girl, her life was not the best, but she did the best that she could.
Her life takes a turn for the better when she meets a man (The Chairman) in the market and he helps her when she falls. As she looks at the man she falls in love with him and makes her mind up that she is only going to be his in later life.
As time goes on she is taken into a Geisha house (Okiya) and begins her training as a Geisha girl, but did not know at this time what this would mean to her. The madam of the house puts her in with a senior Geisha (Mameha) and so begins a sort of love hate relationship between the two of them.
There are many times where she is told by this Geisha that she won’t be anything, but this makes her more determined to succeed in this enterprise.
Japan as we know is a beautiful place steeped in culture and gardens that are some the most beautiful in the world and the film shows this in all its glory.
When the girl is older, her training as a Geisha becomes more intense and she is expected to show that the house that she lives in is the best Geisha house in Japan. She adopted a new name Sayuri
The madam(Mameha) arranges for her to be with an older man(Doctor Crab) who is not the best picture in the world, but the girl does the best that she can. The man has also paid money to the madam to spend the night with the girl, and she realises that this is part of being a Geisha. She is not happy about this.
As her training progresses, the other parts of being a Geisha really are impressive and also her dancing improves. She adopted a new name Syuri (Ziyi Zhang). The madam arranges for her to dance for the man she fell in love with years ago, but she does not know this. She does her duties as she has been taught to do and the evening goes according to plan with the man enquiring as to her availability. The night they are to spend together doesn’t.
A few more years pass and the WW2 begins to affect them, while she is out she again meets this man who is now a soldier. The Geisha house is nearly in ruin, the man helps them to safety. This is the last time she will see him for a while.
After the war things seen to get back to normal and she goes back to being a Geisha and trying to build the house up again, but the thing she wants most she feels that she will never have. She always remembers the man and hopes that he will come and fetch her. Time passed and to her happiness and delight he returns to her. The romance is there but she has to know that he loves her and so tells him that she loves him. To her surprise he tells her that he does and as in all love stories, the story continues.

This movie was directed by Rob Marshall in 2005, the three lead actresses for this Japanese story are Chinese— Hatsumomo (Gong li), Mameha (Michelle Yeoh), and the principal character Sayuri
(Ziyi Zhang). This film is based on events that really happened.
Personally, I like the film it is a lovely thing to watch, it shows the Japanese culture, their customs and the most important part, the sad life of these beautiful and famous women that are recognized around the world. Colourful gardens and landscapes, the music is amazing it is according to the period, brilliant in direction but the thing that stands out the most is that once you start to watch it then it is hard to stop. Geisha is a must see film for you to watch curled up on the sofa with the lights out eating popcorn.
Watch it!!!!.

Memoirs Of A Geisha

BY: YULY YINNETH YATE

“Memoirs of a Geisha” is a novel by Arthur Golden, published in 1997. The novel, told in first person perspective, tells the fictional story of a geisha working in Kyoto, Japan, before and after World War II.

The director was Rob Marshall and the Writers were Robin Swicord (screenplay) and Arthur Golden (book). Memoirs of a Geisha Is a Drama/Romance. The main idea of the movie is that Nitta Sayuri reveals how she transcended her fishing-village roots and became one of Japan's most celebrated geisha. The movie won 3 Oscars, another 17 wins and 28 more nominations.

Chiyo was the second daughter of a poor fisherman in Yoroido and a curiosity in her village - her eyes were blue (in the novel they were blue-grey). Her father was old and her mother terminally ill; thus the parents were persuaded to sell their daughters for a more secured life. Chiyo and sister Satsu were promptly sent to Gion (geisha district) right away. Her aunt decides to keep her in the Nitta Okiya, but rejects her sister. Satsu is then sent to a common brothel in the Miyagawa-Cho district to become a prostitute.

When she was 12-year-old, Chiyo was crying. A man stopped to talk to her and accompanied her for some shaved ice. He bought her flavoured ice and gave her two coins to cheer her up. Watching the Chairman walk away with two geishas, Chiyo decided that she would become a geisha at any cost, just so that she can be with him. She spent the coins on making her wish, and kept the Chairman's handkerchief.

In the winter of 1935, Chiyo is 15 and she's helping Pumpkin get ready for her debut as an apprentice geisha, under Hatsumomo's tutelage. After they left, she noticed that her friend forgot her shamisen and ran out of the Nitta Okiya to the back of Mizuki Teahouse(Hatsumomo's prime) and gave the mistress there her friend's shamisen. A few days later the okiya got a surprise visit from the famed geisha Mameha, who offered irresistable conditions to take Chiyo as her apprentice geisha. Mother's greed got the better of her and Chiyo became Sayuri. During her training, Sayuri showed considerable talents and Mother began to consider adopting her, instead of Pumpkin, as her daughter, to inherit the okiya. This further intensified the feud between Hatsumomo and Mameha.

Time was drawing close to the bidding for Sayuri's mizuage (the first night), but with Hatsumomo's schemes, Mameha was no where close to finding enough potential dannas (patrons) to start a proper bidding. She decided to try the impossible - Nobu, a rich man disfigured by chemical accident and disliked geishas. Miraculously,he fell in love with Sayuri; and Sayuri with his best friend - the Chairman.

Sayuri's mizuage made history as the highest bid to date, and she became the IT geisha. Mother adopted her, kicked Hatsumomo out for trying to destroy her career by causing the fire and Pumpkin was left homeless to fend for herself. But Sayuri's glory was cut short by World War II. As all geishas were gathered up and shipped to factories as workers, she and Mameha went into hiding with the Chairman's help.

After the war, Mameha and Sayuri found it hard to survive as genuine geishas. The American soldiers are the big spender now, and they prefer common prostitutes to geishas. Pumpkin's fell from grace now turned out to be a blessing.

The Chairman hired Sayuri, Mameha and Pumpkin for a trip, so that they could entertain an American colonel named Derricks, his associates and turn them into his business partners. Sayuri realised that she would have to get either Nobu or Col. Derricks to become her danna to survive. But meeting the Chairman again after the war proofed to be too strong a temptation, she decided to throw everything away and follow her heart for once. In her room, Mameha warned Sayuri against doing that because it's disrespectful to Nobu and she could ruin her career for that mistake. She told he to accept him as her danna because he saved her life and she owed a great debt. She mentions that Hatsumomo made the mistake of following her heart once by eloping with Koichi and destroyed her chances to have a danna. Sayuri refuses to listen to Mameha, which proved to be her undoing.

She arranged for the general to meet her in a shack and told Pumpkin to bring Nobu, so that both can be disappointed at her. She took this long-awaited chance and had her revenge - she brought the Chairman. When Sayuri demanded an answer from her friend. Pumpkin vehemently out of anger (cool, but still upset in the movie) told her she took away her rightful place as Mother's daughter and heir of the Nitta Okiya. A heart-broken Sayuri threw away the cherished handkerchief, and gave in to her fate.

Just when she thought she had lost favour with Nobu, Mother got a booking request from him. Disillusioned and settling for security, Sayuri arrived prepared to get back in Nobu's favour, only to find that the booking was made by the Chairman.

Now that his best friend is no longer interested in Sayuri, the Chairman can finally show his feelings and have his Chiyo back - it was him who sent Mameha to find the girl with blue eyes and ensure that she was taken care of and reunited with him.

I personally recommend this movie because it is a story full of feelings, wonderful landscapes and gardens, which recreate strong cultural connotations that allow the observer to live intensely the reality of many women who for various reasons become geishas.

My Love Story, Funny and Tricky

Along my life I only have had one experience related to what is called love. The experience I am going to talk about is with my current girlfriend. We never thought we were going to be together. We met each other the first day of classes at university but, she told me she had seen me many times before.

The first time she saw me was in Carrefour supermarket one Saturday, two years ago; I did not see her in that moment. The second time, and actually the funniest, was when we had to come early at the university to practice some medical exams in order to be accepted. I said funny because according to her, we were so close and she noticed my presence but I did not notice hers. She was with some friends and I saw them but I do not know why I did not see her or why I did not remember her if I saw her in that moment.

Then, we met for the first time at the university and our relationship started as classmates. We did not expend a lot of time together, but the few times we talked, she told me I liked her. Two terms passed until we decided to be together, because the times we tried before, we did not agree with each other. When I told her if she wanted to be my girlfriend, she told me no and when she told me that I also said no. That is the reason why we never thought we would be together.

At the beginning of third semester, we again initiated to meet and as a consequence of that, a feeling grew inside of us. I still remember the day I decided to ask her again to be my girlfriend, it was a Wednesday and that day I skipped English class in order to meet with her. When I told her again, she was beating around the bush for a moment and I said to myself: “If she says no, I will not try it anymore”. Afterwards, I asked her in an unusual way; I said: “so what? Yes or no? She looked at me surprised for the tone of voice I used, but she finally answered yes.

Since that moment I have been with her. We have lived important and happy moments in our relationship and as many couples we also have faced many problems, which have caused our relation teeters on the brink. But we have overcome all those problems and in this moment we are together.

Genre: Drama | Romance
Awards: Won 3 Oscars. Release Date: 23 December 2005 (USA)
The movie is very interesting, we can observe each detail of Japan's culture, the sets are authentic and very beautiful when you're watching the movie transports you to this wonderful world, I believe the movie is very similar to the written work , And the opinions of those who have already read the book, is that in the movie you can see every detail of what the writer write, for this reason the film is so interesting.
The story focuses on a young nine year old girl, Chiyo, lives in a rather poor fishing village, Yoroido, on Japan's coast. Along with her older sister, Satsu, she is sent to the geisha (Japanese for artisan) district called Gion. Split from the only family she has left Chiyo is sent to the Nitta Okiya while her sister is transported else where and becomes less of a role. And Okiya is a house (sort of a compound) where a geisha lives and is taken care of. Here at the Nitta Okiya Chiyo meets another girl about her age nicknamed Pumpkin. Together Pumpkin and Chiyo struggle through the daily life of being treated as nothing more than slaves to the resident geisha, Hatsumomo. Hatsumomo, the story's resident villain, tries her hardest to make Chiyo's life as miserable as possible. On one particular occasion Chiyo feeling so

depressed collapses on a bridge in tears over her life's woes. Much to her surprise a high society passer by stops to question why she is so sad. Here little Chiyo
meets The Chairman for the first time. He shows her kindness in a world which has been naught but cruel to her and from that point on Chiyo makes it her goal to break free from the social class she was born into and become a geisha worthy of The Chairman. After much work and hardship Chiyo is allowed to attend school where young girls are taught all the important practices associated with the life of a geisha. She learns tea ceremony, how to play the shamisen (like a little banjo or acoustic guitar), as well as quite possibly the most important act, how to dance. The word geisha in Japanese is derived from a term referring to art so a geisha is like an artisan, or an artist. After some more altercations with Hatsumomo, Chiyo is taken under the wing of one of Gion's most popular geisha, Mameha. Mameha also happens to be Hatsumomo's arch-rival as a geisha. Mameha takes a long time to introduce Chiyo as her apprentice however once she does she is already blessed with fame for being associated with someone of Mameha's class. Here is the part of the story where Chiyo's name changes to Sayuri (her geisha name). Mameha introduces Sayuri is many numerous figures in Gion life and it come to a point where men are fighting for the highest bid on Sayuri's mizuage. All this time Sayuri is struggling with the common life lessons learned when one is growing up into a young woman. It is very much a coming of age story. Through all trials of adversity Sayuri faces her one goal is always to see The Chairman again. Finally the day comes when she is invited, along with Mameha, to a party at a teahouse at which The Chairman is attending. For the next couple of weeks she attends multiple parties which the chairman attend all the while seemingly coming closer to achieving her goal. Tension has been growing concerning World War II and the society in Gion is beginning to feel the effects of war. Rations are set up and many part of the giesha district have begun to close. Geisha are fleeing to other parts of the country hoping to avoid getting caught in an attack. Sayuri and all of her friends are split apart until after the war and once everyone returns to Gion it is realized the effects of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. All geisha who fled to these cities obviously died and it is a loss greatly felt by the community. Sayuri desperately attempts to attain the love of the Chairman and the climax of the story is whether or not she does meet her goal.
Memoirs of a Geisha was adapted from the novel of the same title by Arthur Golden, and based in part upon the life story of an actual geisha who ended up suing Golden for revealing her identity in the book. The producers called in some
big names to add weight to the film, including Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug White to co-write the script, and Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman for the soundtrack. The choice of Chinese actors to play geishas was controversial, and particularly galling to the Japanese. Director Marshall maintains that he cast the best candidates for key roles regardless of nationality or race.
The film opens with Chiyo (Suzuka Ohgo as a child, Ziyi Zhang as an adult) being taken from the small fishing village of Yoroido and sold to the proprietress of a Kyoto geisha house. At first, Chiyo's lone goal is to find her sister, Satsu, from whom she has been separated but, after a brief reunion, they are parted forever. Chiyo's plans to become a geisha - a "moving work of art" who sells her skills, not her body - are dashed when she runs afoul of Hatsumomo (Gong Li), the house's most consistent earner. For her infractions, she is denied the chance to attend the geisha school and must perform menial chores. But others see something in her. The Chairman (Ken Watanabe) recognizes her as a girl of amazing character and offers her a simple kindness. Chiyo vows to become a geisha and make him her patron. A celebrated geisha, Mameha (Michelle Yeoh), takes Chiyo under her wing. When Chiyo is ready to make her debut, she is given a "geisha name" - Sayuri - and introduced into society, where she must compete with Hatsumomo for the best clients.
I think film, it has excellent actors, good drama, excellent venues and captures the viewer, I would recommend this, it is appropriate to view much f of Japan's culture.

Love Story

While in the prime of adolescence, in a spectacular day sabatino, sharing with a group of friends in the field of basketball, I never imagined that this much spectacular day, wherein the joy flowed through the pores, where smiles never stopped, where the joy of the sport was healthy and dynamic, where everything was perfect. It would appear that bright boy who showed her smile, as spring shows its most prized colors; he totally prepared to have a good time, maybe get involved with our group of friends.

His energy was so positive that everyone liked.

His face made me known, but could not remember where.
We share several basketball games and it was inevitable, both physical and visual contact.

My heart was racing more and more, without even think right.
Just remember that the sympathy was mutual and frequent flirting.
When evening fell was inevitable return to our home, all we said goodbye with a smile.
When you get home take a break and I could not stop thinking about those eyes asabache to enlighten me with love.

Suddenly, you hear the doorbell, she received was a visit my uncle, but I was too tired to figure out who it was, from my bedroom, I heard, warm greetings, and many smiles and blandishments, then the curiosity was more stronger than tiredness invaded my body and walk to the room and I could not hide my face of wonder and surprise I felt at this unexpected visit, was a school friend of my uncle, that was not long ago, and that told him that now live in the neighborhood, and of course they are happy in the joy.

but. for me it was more surprising to recall that moment, that face, which that day had been unable to remember.

It was the same boy that I've been talking about, that that radiated energy and which left me totally deranged.

Memoirs Of A Geisha

It is based on the book written by Arthur Golden his bestselling novel set in 1930s and '40s, the main idea of the story consist on the narration of a memory by a geisha called Sayuri (Chinese actress Ziyi Zhang who participated in films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) is of a young girl who after her mother's death is separated from her family and taken to a geisha house in Kyoto, where she suffered a lot because of her protectors which though that she is a kind of slave for them, Still a child, she has a street encounter with a mysterious, handsome stranger man, the Chairman (who was shining so bright as the light in the horizon for her ).he talked with the girl and he bought her a snow cone. She was so flabbergasted with The Chairman, actually he will be back.
This could be a lousy movie with some entertaining moments; the film is about a geisha, before I haven’t seen the movie I thought that geishas were whores or prostitutes with amazing shapes and bodies, but the way the director shows the performance of a real geisha is different, they are interested in their behave more that in their bodies. Certainly the traditions of the geisha house are culturally fascinating in their own right.
There is one part which one of the masters of the place where geishas learn how to be an authentic geisha said, “We are moving works of art” this statement is related to the way they consider geishas are, it is reflect during the whole film because geishas are girls who spend all their lives to be a geisha, I mean the geisha is seen as a profession according to this culture, and taking into account the age which was develop the film( war, low economy) if a girl became a successful geisha it was the same if a man go to war and come back alive with some medals, the true geishas are extremely gorgeous not by their appearance but by their behave.
There is another important character which is Hatsumomo a geisha too, the issue is that she is as jealous of sayury because of her popularity as geisha, and she want to be requested as sayury, so she tries all the time to tease sayury at the end she is failed of the house for a moment of violence.
The key male in the story is the Chairman who first encounters sayury when she is a child, and suggests her to Mother. As sayury and her beauty grow, it becomes clear she may represent a threat to the dominance of Hatsumomo. The story resumes when she is in her mid-teens and is purchased from Mother by Mameha whose master plan is to use her control of the younger girl to win control of Mother's house away from Hatsumomo, who expects to inherit the reins. Hatsumomo in response acquires Pumpkin as her own proxy in the battle. It is amazing that a client stepping through their doors is not killed in the crossfire.
As a matter of fact I consider that this film is too long, first it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes and I think that a film with that length is really long, the story is around the same characters for that reason in my opinion this film is boring for moments, in addition the film is very predictable you know what are the next events before you see them, another think is that all the time they are talking and the real features of the geishas is not well develop in the film.
Anyway I consider that this movie is very attractive especially for men, because we can see gorgeous Japanese girls, they look like picture paint by da Vinci, and their faces are truly stunning, however the story is silly for people who dislike drama and romanticism. In that way the plot of the story is well plan, because it holds the same line during the movie.
The cinematography is excellent, the clothes are so fascinating, the kimonos that the girls wear are sublimated, the makeup of the girls is so sweet, and the light is ok, the film hold a good illumination among the scenes, there are some scenes with some snow and it looks real.
Eventually, the music played a great character in the story because it is interpreted some times for an actress and it shows the kind of music that the Japanese people used to listen in that age. This is an essential aspect of that culture and the director used it in a wonderful way.

“Remember, Chiyo, geisha are not courtesans. And we are not wives. We sell our skills, not our bodies. We create another secret world, a place only of beauty. The very word "geisha" means artist and to be a geisha is to be judged as a moving work of art”.
Mameha (Quotation taken from the movie)

I deeply liked it because it is an incredible love story that takes you back on a journey to the past. I almost never watch movies but let me tell you that when I watched this movie, I was completely astonished about its content. I have always liked Japanese culture, especially because of Geishas but after I had the opportunity to watch this amazing movie, I have completely fallen in love with them; they are just astonishing. This movie was originally taken from a book, so I cannot imagine myself reading the book… I would be fascinating! But there must be something more exciting than reading the book and that is: having this Geisha in front of you! Although you are just watching a screen, you feel how her beauty impacts you and how her beautiful eyes shock you. But that is not all. Along the movie you can perceive how hard is to love someone who is out of your reach.

The movie starts in Yoroido -a small fishing village- where a beautiful girl called Chiyo lived with her sister Satsu and her parents. Her father was an old man and her mother was terminally ill. Unexpectedly these two girls’ lives changed when their father has to sell them and they are taken to Gion (geisha district) because he thought they could have a better life there. Chiyo, (the protagonist) is selected to live in the Nitta Okiya (house where geishas are taken care of) but her sister is rejected. Subsequently, Satsu is sent to a brothel in the Miyagawa-Cho district to become a prostitute. After living there and having difficult moments, Chiyo met a man on a bridge, who bought her some shaved ice. Since that moment, Chiyo fell in love with him and decided to become a Geisha at any cost because she thought it was the only way to get close to that person she loved the most. Chiyo has to face many problems and difficulties in order to be with her lover.

This love story takes place when Second War World was about to start. You can feel how living at that time was like, and the heavy atmosphere to breath, not only related to war but also to the bad taste of a frustrated love, frustrated by the situations presented at that time. It is not easy to try to show what you feel but you can’t just because there are external factors that forbid you to do it. She has three options for her life and for that reason, she is confused. On one hand she has a wealthy man she doesn’t love but who could take care of her in a decadent economy left by war or be confess what she really feels to the person she loves who, by the way, is the best friend of the wealthy man.

Their acting performance is the greatest I have ever seen because they perfectly assume the role of living those difficult years for Japan and the culture that existed at that time. It is not easy to represent a Geisha but this actress completely does because of her voice, her corporal expression, her beauty, I mean for everything; she is totally impacting not only because of her beauty but also for the way she acts in the movie.

All in all, I would say that this movie is a masterpiece because it joins things together as if they were pieces of a puzzle and shows them in an excellent elaborated and structured way. The movie is always unpredictable and you rarely know what is going to happen next. It is extremely recommended.

MEMORIES OF A GEISHA

Memories of a geisha is the result of the success of the book written by Arthur Golden, which was the best seller during its first publication in 1997. Steven Spielberg who has a good sense of smell towards success, bought the rights for the production and adaptation of the movie, but, unfortunately he couldn’t do it, because of his busy life; in his place, Robert Marshall had the duty to make the movie works as the book did. He is a six-time Tony Award nominee, Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe nominee and Emmy winner whose most noted work includes the 2002 film Chicago and the 1998 Broadway revival of Cabaret.

Its development is divided in two parts; in the first Robert tried to show the infancy of Chiyo (Zhang Ziyi), the main character, who had to live any kind of misfortunes, from the maltreatment of her father to the separation from her sister.

The second part, it´s her adolescence, here she stars the difficult but desire way of any girl, being a Geisha, although, for Chiyo it wasn´t her wish, for her it was a role that she had to carry out. To reach the “luxury and fame” that Geishas´ duty provides, Chiyo had to continue supporting different kind of abuse such as working as the servant of the okiya (Geishas´ house). To make everything wicker, Chiyo found an enemy without being looking for her, Hatsumoto, she has been in the okiya for many years, trying to make whatever to become a real Geisha, now with Chiyo everything could get more impossible, Hatsumoto could see from Chiyos´ look to the intensive blue of her eyes a big competence towards her dream.

I haven´t read the book, but I know that Robert has respected it line by line, but I think that cine never give the expectations or fantasy that the reader can create through literature, there isn´t anything more magic than try to draw the image of the situation, but cine fill the gap, cine give something that goes faster than our imagination, the details, the kimono, the hair decoration, the makeup, it’s incredible how we can be close with that culture more and more, obviously music can´t be apart, Jhon Williams, the producer, who delighted us with sensible, passive, and quiet sound, from the beginning to the end.

Geishas live in an unknown world, everything around them are mysterious, their protocols, even men who always are near them, everything can change anytime, just looking the fame that Sayuri (Chiyo) won from her performance but which went immediately with the 2nd War.

It´s a movie full of drama, for that people who are well disposed to dedicate one part of their llife, as Sayuri did, and being recompensed with something more than physic beauty.

MY CHARMING PRINCE

It was a beautiful summer day. It seemed as if the sun shines more than usual and the blue sky lightning flashed through the beautiful shapes that cast clouds turn, looked like cotton balls.

I was 18 and I was full of life and joy to see such a wonderful spectacle. Along with my sister Sophia, a brunette, tall, long black hair in his short 16, we expected a young man who constantly promised her the heaven and earth, who invited us that day to come to his house to enjoy a pleasant summer afternoon.

When he was arriving, I could see the figure of a beautiful man next to the boy who was behind my sister’s love. Everybody was finally face to face; my sister was the happiest being in life when her boy took her by the hand and begun courting. Meanwhile, my heart was smitten with the beautiful greens eyes, juicy red lips and wavy golden hair of my brother in law companion. It was his younger brother Daniel. Our eyes immediately met and our hearts beat, but my reason begun telling to my broken heart: “He is just another heartbreaker with pretty face” and I remembered all the scars I had on my heart as a result of the hits of love, so, when he begun speaking to me, I try to be very impolite.

The day became gray to me, and an insider voice was telling to my heart to not pay so much attention to that deceitful man while he was doing his best to show me his big heart and he was showering me with his attentions. The time was flying away, my pores where sweeping and my heart was beating and beating and beating. It was obvious that I could not avoid any more the beat of my heart that was thumping by the constantly rhythm of fluttering butterflies in my stomach and my longs were without air. "He is my charming prince" I finally thought, I had to accept the reality and tell my heart that love was knocking the door again. My sudden love was reciprocated by that prince who should never have been a toad judging by their flawless and angelic figure.

Today, five years later, I still feeling in my stomach fluttering butterflies and the same accelerated throb of my heart when I see that character from that bright sunny summer day became my charming prince.

Meeting my girlfriend

In one opportunity, I was meeting a few friends preparing myself to go to a party with some very nice girls; I was not seeking for anything different of dancing, talking and to have a great time

At 9:00 o clock the girls came and we went away for the discotheque, I already met many of them, but I always seemed very nice one of them, but as one of my friends was trying to speak with her , I preferred not to approach very much her.

For my surprise she was the one who came next to me and we begin a very pleasant conversation, after speaking, speaking and to speak during a long moment she said to me that she liked me some time ago, I said to her she liked me too and there of nothing began a pretty engagement that finished some months later but it was something very special

MY LOVE STORY

Love makes people feel the desire to live each day; it gives the opportunity to dream with a better world, to imagine a perfect scenery to live and to smile. We can find love in many people, in our mother, father, brothers, even our pets. But besides all this love we find something different. We find that person's dream with which to spend our lives that might fill us with desire, touching, kissing. I have always dreamed to meet someone let me know that in the world there are still good people.

I have always dreamed that someone would come to my life, but never thought I was you. I never thought that in difficult moments of my life, love knock my door. All started one cold rainy evening after a hard week. With my friend we went for a drink and when we stayed there I saw you and in these moments I feel something special, but I didn’t know why.
Since then everything started as a friendship, talking as if we knew your life time, he told me their stories and I told him the mine. And we didn't realize that friendship became something more, you looked at me and I looked at you and both felt the need to kiss us and be together. And I think that the love that you gave me with your patience, your love, your respect; your words of encouragement always make my life happier.
I think that I found not a perfect person; I found a human being when he smiles makes me happy to live. Because happiness is that we carry with us and whenever we want we can let it out to give us light those dark days.

Hopefully life will allow us to stay together, for feel us happy every day. And we can forget that gray past and all these things that join us each day will bring us to the path of happiness.

An Awkward Love Moment!

It was a cold night, the wind was blowing so strong, I was shivering when the most handsome guy appeared; he was wearing a black leather jacket, his hair covered his shoulders, he had a deep sight…

…I am sure I felt in love with him before I even talked to him. Suddenly, he came to me and he asked if I was cold, and he gave me his jacket. We started to talk and I was very interested on him.

He invited me to drink some wine in his house which was near a lake, his house had a large mysterious garden there were different sort of flowers, he took the most colorful one and gave one, he caressed my cheek, so, I got blush. After that we sat down in the middle of the garden, and we drank that tasty wine… My body was turning warm and I was expecting a passionate kiss, we were so close each other…

…suddenly, another handsome guy arrived at the house, he walked towards the place where we were, I noticed that he was very jealous; immediately, the other guy run to him and he gave him a big kiss in his mouth…

I run away of that place, I am trying to forget that moment!

She was beautiful, then she died

He saw her beauty by first time in Sicilia. She had just a natural beauty, with a long straight black hair; her body as the form of a guitar; in her eyes you could see the innocence of a provincial girl. Mike, the younger son of a powerful family could not avoid to contemplate Apolonia in her natural way, while the girl could not also avoid to see this man.

Mike just could not stop thinking about this girl; he was wishing to know her name and to know her life. Mike and his guards had walked enough, they were tired, and so they arrived in a shop in the country of Silicia. They were welcomed by the owner of the shop who seemed very polite with this foreigner. Mike was a handsome medium height guy and black hair. He was descendant from Sicilian parents but he had born in north America, and he had to leave New York because he had killed two men in a Italian restaurant so he had to stay out of New York for a year while his brother together with other men give solution to this problem.

Mike was acting as if he did not speak Italian so his guards had to translate for him to the owner of the shop. Mike was talking about that he had seen a really beautiful woman in his way to the shop. When he started describing her, the owner of the shop just got upset. This was the woman’s father and in Sicilia the family rules were more inflexible than in The United Status. Then the owner of the shop went looking his daughter with the intention of biting her so Mike sent one of his guards to find the owner of the shop and stop this action and take him back to him for a discussion.

- My name is Michael Corleone and there are people in the country I came from who would give all the Money in the world in order to know were I am now, so you know now who I am, you choose, if you want a husband for your daughter or if you want your daughter to lose her father- the owner of the shop kissed his hand an said - you are welcome to the family –

People in Sicilia already knew about this powerful family and the story of Vito Corleone who had returned to this town to take revenge form Don Ciccio who had killed his parents.

Mike and Apolonia got married in Silicia, alter this wedding they lived happy and shared both a lot of time until Fabricio one of his guards betrayaled him. Fabricio was tall, thin and olive-skinned. Mike was teaching his wife to drive. He leaved the car to talk with one of his father’s contact, this said to him that his older brother Sonny had been killed already in a retaliation. When the man leave the house Mike saw Fabricio running away, then he screamed to Apolonia to leave the car but she did not have time and the car exploded with Apolonia inside. The attack was originally sent to Mike but the victim was his innocent wife.

Years later, when Mike had got married again and also had two sons. His older son Antonio who was a musician dedicated a son to him and he remembered Apolonia, a woman that he loved as he was not going love another again. He just said, she was beautiful, then she died.

My Nightmare!

I still remember that night, furthermore when I close my eyes I can see that ugly girl.

It was September 16th, my friends plan a birthday party, we brought a cake, coke and Ron; at that time the night would be the most memorable night of out life’s, we had liquor, food, we were single and young, but unfortunately it wasn’t.

We started the party at home, we eaten drunk and laughed as our last moments alive, particularly me. At first I was totally o.k. but when we went to the pub, my nightmare began. Our objective was get totally wasted because of my best friend birthday, we said “we have to drink till fall, this night is special is your birthday John” and as we plan, we got it. Honestly I cannot remember how much we drunk, spent, did and say.

I still remember when we arrived to the pub, when we went through the door and had a sit, bur especially when I saw that monster. She was over there, with these ugly shorts, awful heels, wired looking and disgusting smile.

First of all she sent me a drink, I accepted just with the purpose to be kind, I said “for now is good”, because my friends laughed at me but it wasn’t as I expected. Meanwhile my friends were laughing at me she walked around us, looked at us she got closer and asked me if a wanted to dance with her, I answered back her with a big and enormous NO, however, she insisted three times and I still didn’t accepted, She was horrible, and what my friends would think of me?

We still were drinking, as a result at 1.30 am I didn’t knew where I was, I mean, I was totally wasted, she noticed and sent me three Jabalies, I rather to be at home… my friends leave me alone, she saw me, and sit next to me, she started kissing me, touching me in front of the whole pub, my friends take some photos and show me after uploaded on facebook.

They told me that she gave me her cell phone number and her name; moreover my friends told me that I was lucky because she looked like millionaire girl, but honestly money doesn’t buy beauty.

Sad Sunny Summer

I cannot believe that today I still have in my mind what happened to me long time ago; although, I really want to forget it because it so harmful for me. I am here, dying in suffering because of this aspect of my life that I haven’t forgotten. In the middle of this emptiness, there is nothing but my love for that girl. I have lost my senses because of her; when I look at the world, I just find her face; when I hear a sound, even in my solitude, it seems to be her voice calling me; the taste of her lips is the greatest experience I have ever had; I find her smell everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the earth and in the fire; I cannot touch a girl because I always remember the first time I touched her beautiful face. I would like to be stronger and stop thinking of her, but it is impossible to me because my love for her is as huge as the universe. She is everything for me, she is my love, she is my world and in other words, she is my universe.

When I think about the best day of my life, I always remind the day I met her. It was in summer. She was playing ball with a friend of her, when a friend of mine decided to talk to them. I was interested in talking to her because I had already seen her in the morning and I was longing to talk to her. I was so nervous when my friend called me and said “hey pal, do you want to come and play with us? I didn’t say a word but I went where they were and I said “what do you want to play?” and her friend said “anything”. we played and played until our tongues were out of our mouths and asking for water but it didn’t matter to me because the only thing I wanted to do was to have a word with her. I imagine that she was as nervous as I was; she was so quiet but I waited for the right moment to talk to her: I waited until she was alone and in a very silly way I asked her “are you tired?” obviously she was tired and I asked that stupid question but anyway her answer was “yes. This town is so hot” I said “why don’t we sit down”, she nodded and we sat down for a while. Then I asked her name, a name that turns my legs jelly when I hear it. We were both 15 and we started talking about school. We talked and talked for so long, that I continue feeling that I am talking to her. We discussed about food, hobbies, our families and the things we liked. I was so happy that I didn’t realize what the time was! It was so late; she had to go to sleep but I didn’t want to go home. That was the first day.

Next day, I was so desperate because I didn’t want to be alone anymore; I thought that I had found my soul mate. I had to wait until 6 pm because she wasn’t at home; she went swimming. I felt so envy because I wasn’t with her but I immediately forgot that feeling when I saw her. Her tanned skin was so amazing, but there are two special things that I really love, physically speaking. They are: her hair and her eyes. Her curly black hair still drives me crazy and her black eyes are to me like a door to the unknown; once you get in, you don’t want to go out. This girl impacted my heart with a mortal shot: a shot of beauty, personality and love. I liked her appearance but I loved her personality. She was so confident and secure that I could feel secure when I was with her.

We met at night and we started talking again but this time we talked about what had happened in the day and we conclude that we were thinking about each other. I decided to confess what I felt for her but she didn’t have time to say anything because it was one of those occasions where time flies and you don’t do what you want to do; her grandma called her and she had to go home. After that, when I arrived home, I shut myself in my bedroom and I started writing a letter to her because I spent my time thinking about her and that sunny day and I didn’t want that summer to end. Unfortunately, that summer finished before I could open my eyes. It was so fast that it flew at the speed of light.

I woke up very early the following day and I sent her the letter I had written the night before. I sent it with my brother but when he came back, he said “did you know that she is leaving today?” and I said “where” “To Bogotá” my brother answered. It was like a rude awakening for me because I was living a dream but it had become a nightmare. I ran as fast as I could where she was but in that very moment my grandma called me and asked me to do her a favor and in my mind I said “can’t you wait? I am about to do something very important! But I couldn’t answer that to her, so I decided to go where she wanted me to go and I came back as soon as my body could resist but when I arrived it was so late: she had already left. My heart was broken into pieces and there was nothing I could do. I wanted to cry but I couldn’t do it because I was so confused; I thought that finally I had found the perfect girl for me but it was just an illusion. I felt I had lost something but it was something that I never had. I was defeated in a war that wasn’t mine but sometimes we have to take risks, don’t we? Although they take you down and only bring you misery.

I still think of her. I don’t blame her because I was too blind to see the truth. I was living a dream and a nightmare at the same time and it was extremely shocking for me; for that reason, I can forget neither the situation nor her. I am dying here and no one can save me now. As a consequence I always spend my endless nights looking out the window because I know that she is out there, somewhere; I haven’t given up my hope.

A Chocolate Love

This sweet story started three years ago at the university when I started my career. One afternoon I was in the library looking for some books. I felt a person behind me. Then, I turned and on that moment I saw the most handsome man I have ever seen. The glance lasted for 20 seconds, we smiled and I run away.

Like a sign of the destiny, I crashed in to him at the library, cafeteria, and corridors of the university. On a cold day afterwards, a friend of mine introduced us and he said that he was from Switzerland. He invited me to drink a cup of coffee we talked for hours about life and the things that interested me, and all the things he wanted to do with his life. Every day we talked more frequently and also he gave me a chocolate from his land.

After that, two months passed, and then I remembered he went to my house, talked with my mother and asked her if he could invite me to have a dinner, my mom gave us the permission. We went to a wonderful restaurant and there he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend, I was in shock and after 15 seconds I said ¨YES!! I would love to be your girlfriend¨. I will never forget that sweet moment. From that time, we started a special relationship which lasted for one year and it was very enjoyable. But then he had to travel to his country, the farewell was so hard for us. He came back to Columbia last year for Christmas, we travelled to San Andres and really, we enjoyed our time.

Now I am engaged with a Swiss guy, he is coming this Christmas we will get married soon. We continue our relationship via Internet, we talk every day by the phone and since 2007 every month he sends me letters, pictures and the wonderful Swiss chocolate, the same chocolate that makes me think on him every morning when I open my eyes. I also know that we have a lot in common in the things that we like to do also our interests are nearly the same.
Since I have known him I have grown in confidence not only in my personal life but in the way that I talk to him, and I know that his love is given also back to me. I can see it every single second of my life.

My Love Story

I have had a lot of experiences of love, I have suffered for some person who did not deserve anything, I have Broken some hearts, may be because I am insecure about my feelings, besides one person may always falls in love with someone who at the end is not the proper person.

Now, I have an stable relationship with my boyfriend, I am really in love with him, I feel that he is all what I was looking for, all what I dreamt, all what I expected. Actually, I can say he is my soul mate, I met him through a school friend, but I never thought that he was so special, although I met him face to face, we did not talk that day, I started to chat to him by Internet (facebook, msn), and then we spoke by phone, and I found myself more and more attracted to him, it was a little bit funny but strange at the same time.

I think, we had talked for a month, when we decided to see each other again, he invited to me to drink some coffee, I accepted, I really wanted to see him. I remember that I enjoy sharing some coffee with him, I loved his way of being, I realize that he is a sensible person, besides we talked and talked and talked a lot, he told me a lot of things about him. He thought that I don’t like him, because I am a serious person, and he was afraid of being rejected. Actually, I don’t consider that I am a serious person, but shy, I need some amount of confidence for showing who I am.

We have so much in common, we like the same music, we love the same books, we can share all the things together, and the most important thing for me is that we are friends. I trust in him, and he trust in me, and obviously that’s essential in any relationship.

Since that he is in my life, I feel that my life has changed a lot, because he was made me a better person, with him I feel that I have not got troubles, that all is perfect, all is beautiful. He makes me happy, very happy; I believe that I love him as I’ve never loved before. We have created strong ties between us, we have lived wonderful moments in our relationship, the most I like of him is that he is a support for me, not an obstacle, he is a support for my dreams, because he really wants to achieve his goals, but it does not imply that my dreams are in the last place, he really cares about me, about my dreams and goals in my life, he is not a selfish person, and this is fundamental for building a strong lovely relationship.
Now, I am secure that he is my soul mate, if some day our relationship finishes, I would feel good, because I really knew what happiness and love are.
